If you live on campus, yes! It's a great value and it is NEO A&M’s policy that all designated Campus Residents purchase a meal plan each semester.
If you are a commuting student, it is not mandatory, but it does save you money, it's convenient, and you get a lot of "bang" for your buck! If the price of a meal plan is too much, consider this: You may be able to use financial aid to pay for your meal plan (contact the Business Office at 918-540-6222); A meal plan can save you up to 18% off of the door price. That's over $100 on the Commuter Block 75 Plan! You can purchase Flex Dollars only, instead of a meal plan.
Resident and Commuting Students: Any amount of Flex Dollars can be added to your account, and Flex Dollars are tax free!
Flex Dollars are cash values included in most meal plans, and can also be purchased separately. They work like a pre-paid debit card with funds kept on your student ID card. Flex Dollars may be used at any on-campus dining location. $25 USD is equal to $25 in Flex Dollars, but when purchasing with Flex, you don't pay tax!
Meal Plans A, B, C, and Commuter Block Plans expire at the end of each semester.
All Flex Dollars expire at the end of each Spring Semester (even for Faculty/Staff).
Faculty & Staff Block Meal Plans expire July 31st each year.
Meal plan changes can be made during the first two weeks of each new semester. Please contact the business office.
We have designed special meal plans just for you called Commuter Block Meal Plans, which you can purchase directly from our website! If you live off-campus, you can also purchase a traditional meal plan through the Business Office in the Administration Building.
Absolutely! Community members are encouraged to purchase a Commuter Block Meal Plan, which you can purchase directly from our website! You will first just need to visit the Recruiting Office on campus to get an ID card.
